Bahamian Diplomats Flee Haiti!
All Bahamian diplomats have been airlifted from Haiti.
The Gleaner reports that t6he Prime Minister of Bahama, Dr. Phillip Davis, ordered them to leave the country as soon as the security conditions permitted. This is due to the rapidly unstable conditions following reported gang gang killings of police officers and protesters in the French speaking country.
In the last few days, rebel police officers rendered Port-au-Prince redundant due to the killings of police officers by Haitian gangs.
The Haitian President, Jovenel Moise, was assassinated in July 2021.
However, Bahama’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said a team will be sent to Haiti.
