Finland Freezes Russians’ Asylum Requests!

Finland has frozen the treatment of asylum requests of Russians fleeing recruitment into Russia’s armed forces for now.
The Barents Observer reports that an official of the Finnish authorities, Juhi Simila, explained that the Finnish Migration Authorities needed to collect information about social conditions in Russia.
The official further said they to figure out the condition of Russia in terms of human rights and the safety of citizens.
They would also want to who is affected by the recruitment and what consequences there are for refusal.
Meanwhile, the update on the Russian situation may close in a few weeks but the authorities do not want people who seek asylum in Finland to be persecuted in Russia.
