“I won’t call Tinubu president.” -Bakare

As preparations are ongoing for the swearing-in of Mr Bola Tinubu as the president of Nigeria, a cleric, Pastor Tunde Bakare has said he will never refer to the president-elect as his president.
Bakare, who is the overseer of Citadel Global Community Church said a series of malpractice took place in the 2023 elections. He further said the Independent Electoral Commission made of the elections.
He also emphasized that the elections were below acceptable standards.
He further said at “any public lecture anywhere, before this mess is cleared off, I will address Asiwaju (Tinubu) as a President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria but will never call him my president.”
Bakare took part in the All Progressives Congress presidential primary in June 2022. But he never scored a single vote. Nomination forms were sold for N100 million.
