LIBYA RESCUES MIGRANTS – Adéwálé Ṣóbọ̀wálé

Libya has announced the rescue of 20 migrants. In an address by the country’s Navy Chief of Staff, the Al Zawiyah Boat belonging to the Coast Guard rescued the people northwest of Zuwara.

In news report by the Libyan News Agency, Admiral Mansour Bader who is the Navy’s Chief of Staff, said the migrants were going to European shores by boat.

As soon as a distress call was received, the boat was despatched to the scene, he continued.

The migrants were lucky to be rescued.

The marine staff command said the Anti–Immigration Service will step up its efforts in caring for the migrants and making sure their deportation proceedings are completed without delay.
