MANY MIGRANTS DROWN OFF WESTERN SAHARA – Adéwálé Sóbọ̀wálé

At least 44 migrants drowned off the coast of Morocco’s disputed Western Sahara region.

According to the AFP, twelve others survived the tragedy.
The boat in which they were traveling was said to have capsized.

The incident happened on Sunday when their boat sunk off the coast of Cape Boujdour.

12 of the travelers who survived were subsequently arrested.

It was confirmed that the bodies of 7 victims were brought back to shore while the corpses of others were yet to be retrieved.
