Morning after! – Adewale Sobowale

I’ve always said that I don’t write for people’s applause. I’ve reached a stage where if nobody likes what I’ve written, I care less.

That’s how when I was one of the few who saw through the Buharidemic that’s currently plaguing Nigeria and some were calling us wailers.
It will take a new government at least 5 years to redo all the undoing of Mr Buhari.

Anyway, the incumbent president is not my focus today.

The charade of (s)election that took place in Lagos State today is the crux of the matter.

By the time you read this, Muslims would have gone or be preparing for the Fajr which is the first of the five mandatory prayers they are obliged to say every day.

Christians too will be preparing for the Sunday service.

The Traditional African Worshippers will not be lagging behind.

I can remember doing a post on humanity on the 7th day of March.

Now, were people killed in Lagos today?
Were people victimised?
Were people prevented from voting their conscience?
If we don’t have respect for humanity how can we respect God?

So, which type of God are we worshipping?
A god whose drink is human blood?

I’ve always said that no politician is worth dying for. Instead of losing my life for a common politician, I would rather do the same for an idea I believe fervently in.

Thank God for the internet, the whole world is watching our shameful actions. But our case is just like that of a person who when others see them, they’ll be crying but he’s happy with his condition.

That the Labour candidate threatened that Lagos might burn is quite unfortunate. it’s uncivilized.

But then, what about the others?

As I will always say, were these unfortunate acts single-handedly perpetrated by the leaders?

We are our greatest undoing!
