Netanyahu, Biden confront each other!
Friendship had to take a back seat as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to United States President Joe Biden’s suggestion that Netanyahu should withdraw the plan to overhaul his country’s judiciary.
New York Post reports that Mr Netanyahu responded that Israel is a sovereign country and it can take its own decisions.
The Israeli PM noted his long-term friendship with the US President which has spanned some 40 years. He also noted Biden’s long-term commitment to Israel.
However, he reminded the President of Israel’s sovereign status.
Meanwhile, Netanyahu has said the judicial overhaul should be put on hold for now.
