Ashraf Aboul-Yazid is an Egyptian poet, novelist, and journalist. He is currently the president of the Asia Journalist Association and the Editor-in-Chief, The Silk Road Literature Series. He worked in Cultural Journalism for 32 years.
He has authored and translated 42 books. Some of his novels and poetry volumes have been translated into English, Spanish, Turkish, Persian, Korean, Malayalam, Sindhi and German. He has travelled across more than 30 countries over the last 2 decades.
In 2015 he won the Arab Journalism Award in Culture, UAE, and in 2014 he was awarded the Manhae Grand Prize in Literature, Korea.
